Review: League of Legends

First review, yay! Basicly let me start off by saying this game is beneficial for anyone who cant afford to buy any games at the moment. This game is free to download and the characters have a free rotating system (i will elaborate more later in the review) and has a high replay value.

Anivia
Pantheon
After creating a username, you start the game and your summoner level is 1. You have to rise to level 30 to get into the ranked matches. During this levelling scheme, you can have the ability to unlock new spells for your champion, new runes to boost their stats and masteries points to boost their skills which could make the difference in the game. The aim of each game you play is to destroy the team base (the nexsus). What between you and your goal is minions, turrets and champions. Each team spawns minions to try and take down the enemy turret. You help these minions by killing the enemy minions and damage the turret while the minions are getting blasted by the turret. There are a variety of champions you can take control of, with their own strengths and weaknesses. These champs can specialise in defence and health to be able to take more damage, high damage champs to kill other champions and take down turrets quicker, mage that specialise in their abilites and deal heavy magic damage to champion and support chapions with healing and stat boosting abilities.

Karthus
The game starts off with your chose Champion at level one and are able to unlock one of the champions abilities. These abilites are all unique to this champion and can be quite visually pleasing and very powerful. There are 4 abilities in total and a passive ability which is always one (some examples of passive abilities are 8% experience to all champions, increased movement speed, increased life steal etc). The last of these 4 abilites is the ultimate ability, which is the most powerful move that champion has. For example Karthus has the ability to deal damage to all champions by sending a deadly beam down on them. During the game when you kill champions, creatures, minions and towers you gain the experince to level up the champions to gain these abilities and better stats and you gain gold, able to get you items which can help you in the game (which you can carry a maximum of 6).

All of this is online, so you will always be playing with and against other people around the world. Each team will be different and will offer different strategies to win the game. The game can be as short as 25 minutes to an hour long game.

Shen
This game has an interesting system in how too purchase runes, champions etc. After each game you are given a certain amount of influence points (IP), which can be exchanged for new champions and runes to boost their attack speed, damage, ability power, defence etc. However if there are certain champions which are high in IP then you can purchase riot points instead to pay for champions, skins for champions and runes (Skins are the only thing you have to pay for, since the company has to make some money).

Currently there are 2 maps available but personally I tend to stick to the one (Summoners Rift) which is a 5v 5 whereas the Twisted Treeline is a 3v 3. In both of these maps, players that you meet online, will use it varied ways and not all games will be the same.  More maps will be coming out soon but it will keep you entertained for a while.

Each champion is different (obviously). The presented well and are weird and unique in their own right when looking at the dialogue and the abilites. Its graphically nice and has a sort of cartoonish look to some of them.

Overall this game has a high replay value even if there is no storyline to it. On-line play is brilliant with the feature of being able to reconnect to matches, which many games are lacking.
